
Though she has yet to confirm whether it was an intentional tribute, Nixon paying homage to the flag and showing solidarity with Palestinians wouldn’t come as a surprise. The actor has been one of Hollywood’s most outspoken advocates for a ceasefire in Gaza since Israel began its latest siege on the occupied territory last October.
In November 2023, Nixon joined a hunger strike to call for a ceasefire, gathering outside the White House to make a “personal plea” to then-President Joe Biden to “connect with that empathy for which he is so well known, and to look at the children of Gaza and imagine that they were his children.” The former New York gubernatorial candidate even appeared on The View in December 2023 to call for a ceasefire, citing her own Jewish heritage as the impetus for her advocacy.

She also participated in a video project organized by the Palestine Festival of Literature, reading from the South African dossier that charged the Israel with genocide in the International Court of Justice.
As for the forthcoming season of And Just Like That…? Well, judging from the trailer, it looks like Carrie will be leaning into becoming a “romantasy” author, Charlotte will continue to be the best mom on the Upper East Side, and Miranda — Nixon’s character — will develop a work crush after recovering from two seasons of Che Diaz. (I will be ignoring Aiden until further notice.)
